Just in time for the holidays, La MaMa E.T.C. presents Nicky Paraiso as the master of ceremonies for the ultimate holiday cabaret, in our intimate 99-seat cabaret space. Each night there will be a holy host of characters singing, dancing, gender-bending, and merry making, all to get you into the East Village spirit of the season.
Artists that have worked at La MaMa throughout the past 5 decades contribute a piece of artwork, with no media restrictions. The result is a salon style exhibit that truly represents the La MaMa spirit.
A new theatre piece featuring the Koliadnyky, an ensemble of winter song singers from Kryvorivnia (a Ukrainian village in the Hutsul region of the Carpathian Mountains) and Yara artists. The event will feature traditional winter songs from the Koliada rituals and scenes from contemporary Ukraine.
