Part noise concert, part Burroughs’ reading tour, Decoder 2017 is the latest work conceived and directed by OBIE winner Mallory Catlett. This cut-up of sound, word, and image is generated live by cassette tape DJ and sound artist G Lucas Crane with performer Jim Findlay, who act as both fictional characters and real-time systems operators. The work features and interactive design created by Keith Skretch (video) and Ryan Holsopple (interaction).
This is a Creative Capital project that has received Commissioning and development support has been provided by Gibney Dance, Mt Tremper Arts, Theatre Conspiracy @ Club PuSH, Collapsable Giraffe and the Foundation for the Contemporary Arts” .
