Something’s Got Ahold Of My Heart
January 10 – January 20, 2013
“… is at times great fun to watch. If someone is looking for a fun way to pass an evening, this may be the show for that person. While being entertained, that individual will be asked to contemplate their memories and ideas about love, thoughts certainly worth engaging in. … the music is worthy of love.”
- Kelly Aliano, nytheatre-wire.com
A performance in three movements, Something’s Got Ahold Of My Heart creates an onstage space where tumultuous and tender feelings of love hang thick in the air and seven performers lay their bodies down and fight to keep their love alive. Drawing from interviews, found text, and seminal concert footage, Something’s Got Ahold Of My Heart wrestles with the yearning, euphoria and eviscerating tragedy of love.
