About the Artists

The Lower Eastside Girls Club has been “Opening Doors, Empowering Women, and Building Community Girl by Girl” since 1996.
Today we operate a full-service arts, science and civic engagement Center for Community on Avenue D adjacent to the low-income NYCHA housing projects. We run programs that serve girls and young women throughout New York’s five boroughs, and collaborate with a range of National and Global partners.

About La MaMa Kids Online

La MaMa Kids Online presents weekly kids performances and hands-on workshops online, timed especially for “after school” viewing! La MaMa will continue to use emerging technologies to create a new venue for artistic expression that questions how art can function and how we as a society can survive challenging periods of history.
Fun for the whole family! STORYTELLING, MUSIC-MAKING, PUPPET CRAFT, MASK-MAKING, AND MORE! La MaMa Kids is a series of creative workshops and performances for the young and the young at heart. Master artists from LaMaMa teach theatre crafts in workshops that encourage imaginative play and hands-on learning. Children and adults learn the basics of storytelling, dance, mask and puppet-making, and more! Held monthly, La MaMa Kids is fun for the whole family!
