Mark Tambella New Paintings
January 24 – February 10, 2013 at 1-7pm (Wed-Sun)
Mark Tambella presents a new group of oil paintings seeking to locate the aesthetics of decay as a form of growth. Whether from composed still life of cultivated fruits and vegetables to far less controlled natural landscapes there remains the quality and consequent beauty of this matter as it retreats to soil. By employing various painting translucencies to layer these changing colors and forms over each other , sympathetic light and dark markings produce movement and create a soft narrative of time passing.
