The Floatones

An experimental theater work in which four people form an “encounter support group” that sings about “post meaning” and living “content free.” On the cutting edge between entertainment and self-help, they inspire each other with idiosyncratic gestures and atonal harmonies. Written by the late downtown theater legend Jim Neu, The Floatones return to The Club at La MaMa after 25 years with a new generation of downtown performers.

My Heart is in the East

La MaMa Moves! 10th Anniversary Benefit

Honoring Ellen Robbins for her creative achievements in teaching dance. With tributes to The Harkness Foundation for Dance, Mertz Gilmore Foundation and The Jerome Robbins Foundation for supporting La MaMa Moves! since its inception. Proceeds from the benefit will greatly assist La MaMa in producing the 10th La MaMa Moves! dance festival this May 21 – June 21, 2015. The festival has showcased the work of approximately 400 emerging and seasoned choreographers since its beginnings.

DUSK AHEAD: Junk Ensemble

Exploring blindness and invisibility, Dusk Ahead shows the murky fading light of dusk when it is difficult to
discern what is real and what is imagined. Dusk is the hour between dog and wolf, from domestic to wild. This
high-caliber cast of international and Irish performers will also act as the band, playing live music throughout
