Celebrating 40 Years with Teatro Patologico

The weekend events will include films, panel discussions and be highlighted by the solo performance Tutti Non Ci Sono (We Are Not Alone)first presented at La MaMa in 1980, about a psychiatric inmate victimized by neglect in the outside world was written as a reaction to the Italian Mental Health Act of 1978, which was the first law to reform the psychiatric system.
Teatro Patologico was founded by Dario D’Ambrosi, one of Italy’s most distinguished theatre artists, who has made a career of productions that portray the unique perspective on life of people with psychiatric disabilities.
