THANK YOU to everyone for your support of our LA MAMA CANTATA-On Tour Kickstarter campaign.
We reached our goal of $10,000 and are going to Europe!

We’re hitting the road! We’re taking Liz Swados’ tribute to Ellen Stewart, the La MaMa Cantata, on tour to Spoleto, Italy; Zagreb, Croatia and Belgrade, Serbia from September 2-15, 2012.
We’ve got the airfare covered and now we’re looking to raise funds for: ground transportation; per diem; artist fees; food; accommodations; and a videographer to document the tour.
We’re taking 9 talented young actors to Europe (many for the first time!) including: Catherine Brookman, Rachel Duddy, Starr Kwofie, Grace McLean, Alicia Olatuja, Hannah Whitney, Preston Martin, Tom Hennes & Roe Hartrampf.
Liz Swados will also join us for the tour, along with Musical Director Kris Kukul, drummer, Eric Read, stage manager Michael Ulreich, tour manager Kaori Fujiyabu and tour videographer Jaehee Cho.
The La MaMa Cantata is a joyous celebration of Ellen Stewart and the history of La MaMa that bridges generations. Our cast has been inspired by Ellen and the artistic legacy she established that continues to thrive today. La MaMa has maintained a worldwide presence for decades and it only seems appropriate that we take the La MaMa Cantata on tour.
