SLANT has curated another dynamic event, this year’s theme is a contemporary take on the stone soup story. SLANT wanders into town, broke and hungry and the only way to get a healthy meal is to start making stone soup. One by one, colorful denizens bring their original spice to the stage and the soup becomes a sumptuous feast that celebrates New York City’s vibrant culture. Included is the ever popular Forty Seconds Street open mic where anyone can sign up and be a star for or 40 seconds.
