By Drew Droege

Sunday morning. Hell’s Kitchen, NYC. Brecken and Caden have just murdered their throuple-mate and stuffed him into their Jonathan Adler credenza. Unfortunately, they’ve invited friends over for brunch. Imagine Hitchcock’s “Rope” but even more homosexual. Feel bad for them! They’re MESSY WHITE GAYS!

Cast: Drew Droege, Jeffery Self, Ryan Spahn, Eric Patrick Harper, and Pete Zias.

Drew Droege is best known for his online Chloe Sevigny parodies. Off-Broadway he has performed his solo shows, "Happy Birthday Doug" and "Bright Colors And Bold Patterns", for which he received Outfest's Outstanding Performance. Both are streaming on BroadwayHD, and he can be heard in "The Comedians" on Audible. LA theatre credits include "Die Mommie Die!", "The Golden Girl Live", and The Groundlings. He can be seen in upcoming films "Queer" (dir Luca Guadagnino) and "Poolman" (dir Chris Pine) plus Charlie Day's "Fool's Paradise", John Hamburg's "Me Time", and guest appearances on "Bob's Burgers" "Search Party", "Your Honor", "The Goldbergs", "Key & Peele" "Drunk History" and the reboot of "Heathers".

For the 23rd season of La MaMa Experiments we will focus on theatrical works in progress addressing mental health issues. No one is more familiar with the need to create greater access to mental healthcare than our New York audience, who come face to face with this crisis on a daily basis. After 3 years of a global pandemic, all of us are feeling the upsurge of anxiety and depression, but these trends have been on the rise long before Covid-19. The works this season shed light on important, personal stories and deal with this subject matter in many different and unique ways. From tongue in cheek comedies to absurdist tragedies, Experiments hopes to create a season that will destigmaify, enlighten and, yes, even entertain.
