ABOUT

CLASS DISMISSED celebrates the exuberance of young minds imagining a future of possibility – in an intellectually exhausted and emotionally self-absorbed pataphysical academia. Two grad-students hallucinate a post-capitalist manifesto; while your favorite professor slides into dementia; and his nemesis – the Other-Lit-Professor – performs love poems inspired by her affair in a prestigious artist colony.

Anticipate your (consensual) participation as we invite the audience onstage to eat bread, drink rum, write on the set with chalk, and swap books that you bring to the show. With live music, and a different guest artist at each performance, this is the grad school you wish you went to!

Bring a book! Any book!
Please bring a book to the show. You may be asked to donate the book or swap it with another audience member. In other words, you might not leave with the book you bring. Keep that in mind!
