“La consagración de nadie (Unsuccessful)” is about the search of Micaela, an opera singer and actress who was never able to enter the opera scene in Buenos Aires. In a documentary style, she decides to make her own personal bio-dramatic project, to tell her story, her path in art, to occupy spaces for herself and receive the applause she could not find in the opera universe.

The piece intertwines success, talent, destiny, frustrated dreams, challenges, family, ancestors, uprooting, teachers and loves. The need to leave everything behind in search of the desired consecration.

Micaela Fariña and Gonzalo Quintana are a duo of Argentine artists who have been working together for more than ten years. Directors, playwrights and actors in their pieces, rotate roles according to their desires and concerns. They work together, trusting in the idea of taking acting to its full potential by exploring different contemporary stage devices. In the documentary genre they find the key to building new boundaries between reality and fiction. Their pieces are characterized by exploring the musical aspects of the scene, understanding music not only as that which an instrument or voice is capable of reproducing, but as the variable rhythmic and musical treatment of bodies in space.
