Carry A Passport: 15 Years of the BronxBerlinConnection

The BronxBerlinConnection is an interdisciplinary, cross-cultural Hip Hop exchange program connecting young artists from Berlin and NYC since 2008. Spearheaded by German Streetwork organization Gangway e.V. and NYC-based creative youth development organization the Hip Hop Re:Education Project, this program is about much more than the music created or the stages rocked; it is about the relationships developed and the personal growth achieved. This event will culminate nearly 5-months of artistic exchange between this year’s crews. The night will feature dance performances, video screenings, ciphers and live-musical performances including collaborative work written and recorded last month when the NYC artists were in Berlin. Let’s show our German guests how NYC gets down!

The Hip Hop Re:Education Project is a resident-artistic company of La MaMa. Farbeon (Executive Director, Hip Hop ReEducation Project) is a CultureHub Fellow where they have received ongoing support for this project.
