We Are Celebrating Hattie (aka Brian Butterick)

Walk with friends, family and others touched by HATTIE HATHAWAY aka Brian Butterick, who died in the early hours of January 30 2019. This public funeral of our beloved friend and NYC icon begins in Tompkins Square Park, continues down Avenue A past the Pyramid Club, west on 4th St. to La MaMa’s Ellen Stewart Theatre at 66 E 4th Street, 2nd Floor.

Free and Open to All.

7 – 10PM | CELEBRATION AT LA MAMA’S ELLEN STEWART THEATER

You are encouraged to dress for a “Second Line, Parade/ Drag March. Please line up in the middle of Tompkins Square park where you will see and hear a marching band. Line up starts at 6 PM/ Drag March Parade leaves 6:30 PM. Destination: LA MAMA (66 E 4th St. 2nd Floor) – ELLEN STEWART THEATER

This is a night for memories, performance and dancing: Johnny Dynell will spin the Hattie-centric soundtrack along with remembrances, video, performances and other tributes. Video curator is Aldo Hernandez. (aka Load Rezenhand)
