Anna/Kate Band “How To Hold” Album Release Concert

Join the Anna/Kate Band, and friends, for an exclusive theatrical concert, debuting new music and a new studio album for the first time! The emerging folk-pop group leaves the acclaimed Grand Street Recording Studio after a six-month long creative process to share their debut album, “How To Hold.”
The album has been making waves, categorizing the Anna/Kate Band as an ‘Act to Watch in 2018’ on Fordham’s WFMU and gaining recognition for “intricate, perfectly-harmonized folk pop tunes with quite a bit of weight” (No Depression). Known for their signature harmonies, used to great effect in both anthemic music and striking love songs, the Anna/Kate Band continues to merge theatricality and music, creating unforgettable concert experiences. This evening combines the talents of these queer folk-pop favorites with a special opening act – Dane Terry!

Dane Terry is a storymaker, performer and composer. Terry is the 2016 recipient of the Ethyl Eichelberger Award from PS122 where his new piece Jupiter’s Lifeless Moons premiered in January 2018 as part of their COIL festival. He was also a part of that organization’s RAMP residency in spring 2016. After premiering in New York at La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club in April 2015, his theatrical song-cycle Bird in the House went on to be presented at The Public Theater as part of the Under The Radar Festival’s INCOMING! series. Dane has also performed at Lincoln Center’s Out-Of-Doors Fest, A.R.T.’s Oberon in Cambridge MA, Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati OH, The Wexner Center in Columbus OH and the Afterglow Festival in Provincetown MA. Dane was the recipient of a BAX 2017 Summer Space Grant and is currently the Artist In Residence at The Freehand Hotel in association with Bard College.
