Join the Anna/Kate Band, and friends, for an exclusive theatrical concert, debuting new music and a new studio album for the first time! The emerging folk-pop group leaves the acclaimed Grand Street Recording Studio after a six-month long creative process to share their debut album, “How To Hold.”
The album has been making waves, categorizing the Anna/Kate Band as an ‘Act to Watch in 2018’ on Fordham’s WFMU and gaining recognition for “intricate, perfectly-harmonized folk pop tunes with quite a bit of weight” (No Depression). Known for their signature harmonies, used to great effect in both anthemic music and striking love songs, the Anna/Kate Band continues to merge theatricality and music, creating unforgettable concert experiences. This evening combines the talents of these queer folk-pop favorites with a special opening act – Dane Terry!
The Anna/Kate Band:
Anna Gothard – ukelele, vocals
Kate Foster – vocals
Mark Harad-Oaks – bass, guitar
Kelly Wenof House – banjo, guitar, bass

“If you haven’t heard of the Anna/Kate Band you’re in for a treat. The pair craft intricate, perfectly-harmonized folk pop tunes with quite a bit of weight…the band holds a special place in my heart. [The Anna/Kate Band] reminds us of our common bonds as humans and what we all have to lose regardless of our political affiliations if we don’t take a stand.”
— No Depression, Rachel Cholst
“My newest favorite queer, folk band Anna/Kate Band… reminded me again of the power of simple acts, both in their unalloyed arrangements and in the message they had us sing along with them.”
— Culturebot, Maura Donohue
““How To Hold” (out March 2018) is a true folk-pop gem. But when it comes to seeing them live, they’ve definitely found the secret formula: Anna/Kate Band plus YOU, equals pure magic… The audience is very much the “7th member” of the band.”
