A series of DIY performance events held around the country and the world on February 20, 2017 – that aims to mobilize our ongoing resistance and channel our anger into art and activism!
We are calling for radical inclusive, disruptive, provocative, ridiculous, enraged and engaged work – whatever is right for your community. It could be a poetry slam, a dance recital, a 3 act play, an opera, a naked performance, a quilting bee, a Care Café or three people standing on a corner- whatever helps spread the message that This Is NOT My President, I’m Not OK, and whatever else!

MARGO JEFFERSON is a cultural critic and the author of Negroland: A Memoir, and On Michael Jackson. Negroland received the 2015 National Book Critics Circle Award for autobiography. In 1995, while a staff writer for The New York Times she received the Pulitzer Prize for Criticism. She's also written and performed a solo theater piece, Sixty Minutes in Negroland. She teaches writing at Columbia University.
ELIZABETH KENDALL is a dance and culture critic, an Associate Professor at New School‘s Eugene Lang College, the author of three cultural histories and two memoirs and of articles in publications ranging from Vogue to The New Yorker. Her most recent book, published by Oxford U. Press in 2013 (paperback 2015), is Balanchine and the Lost Muse: Revolution and the Making of a Choreographer.
LAURIE STONE is author of four books, most recently My Life as an Animal, Stories. She won the Nona Balakian prize in excellence in criticism from the National Book Critics Circle. She participated in “Novel,” living in a house situated in an art gallery. Her work has appeared in Fence, Open City, Anderbo, Threepenny Review and many other journals. Her latest collaboration with composer Gordon Beeferman, “You, the Weather, a Wolf,” premiered in New York City in 2016.
