The Child Who is inspired by the early years of the life of sculptor Jephan de Villiers. It is the vision, all sensibility and poetry, of a child who faces an earth, a humanity, endlessly scorned by man. Straddling the real world and the imagination in a game of constant appearance and disappearance, the narrative is discovered through the experience of a child, contrary to the expectations of the world. An arresting visceral poem, The Child Who articulates the dangerous silences of the human condition. Performed by Morgane Robin, Michael Pallandre, Caroline Le Roy, Adria Cordoncillo, and Florence Sauveur.
The Child Who is recommended for ages 12 and older.
Since 2008 Théâtre d’un Jour has vehemently supported “creation art.” The troupe’s work is interdisciplinary and reflects a persistent willingness to question what is real and what is supposedly everyone’s place in society. Linked by music and visual arts, Théâtre d’un Jour‘s creations focus on the same question: What is the role of man in this world?

The speed imposed on us by Wall Street and the Internet is nothing in comparison with our power of creation and invention. Just as in martial arts we have to take this energy and use it to our advantage.”
