Maiamar Abrodos | Gonzalo Quintana

ALL MY BODIES
October 1-4

[Program tbd]

Runtime: 50 Minutes

Maiamar Abrodos — a renowned actress, set design teacher at EMAD, and a key figure in Argentine theatre — invites us to take part in a class that goes far beyond conventional teaching

What begins as a lesson on scenographic perspective and the body in theatrical space soon transforms into a deeply human journey through the many bodies she has inhabited — and the many others that have left an indelible mark on her life.
Through this intimate, performative, and documentary-style piece, Maiamar walks us through her story as a trans woman in a country and time when laws were different and prejudice was heavier. From her early steps in the arts, searching for the image she dreamed of becoming, to her emergence as one of Argentina’s most influential actresses, the play maps out a vital path made of memories, relationships, and life-changing decisions.

With humor, sensitivity, songs, personal archives, and a powerful stage presence, Maiamar unfolds a story that moves and challenges, that teaches without solemnity and touches without artifice. In this work, pedagogy blends with testimony, the stage merges with life, and art becomes a form of resistance.
