Just another day at the office. Bill Grimes is ready. He’s the new guy. First day on the job. He’s the man with the credentials. Just what is needed. Now, all he needs to do, is find out what he’s been hired to do and extricate himself from an out of control office romance and avoid committing suicide.

Jack McCleland (Playwright): The Good Life was produced by both the Quaigh Theater and The Image Theater (NYC) and was the recipient of the Summer Solstice Theatre Conference Award. His one-act Hardball was a 2016 Heideman Award finalist at the Actors Theatre of Louisville. Both his one-acts Dark and Connections were shortlisted for the Wexford (Ireland) Literary Arts Festival Award. Dark was produced by Theatre 3 (Port Jefferson, NY) and The New American Theatre (Los Angeles, CA). Connections was also performed at The Miranda Theatre and Secret Theatre (NYC). His many plays have been performed in NYC and around the US. Mr. McCleland has also written radio plays performed by radio theatre companies, among them Marina Del Ray by the Radio Project and Mexico by the Garden of Voices. As a musician/guitarist he performs regularly. He is an alumnus of the Lehman Engel/BMI Musical Theatre Workshop (Librettists) and a member of the Dramatists Guild of America. He lives in NYC with his wife Elizabeth Campbell.

 

Andrew Frank (Director) was the founding Artistic Director of Manhattan Theatre Source. Some of his more highly reviewed works there were adaptations of “Macbeth: A Walking Shadow”, “Woyzeck”, and “Three Sisters.” He developed countless new plays and musicals, some of which became off-Broadway productions including “Sidd: A New Musical based on Hermann Hesse’s novel” and “The Greenwich Village Follies”. Andrew also wrote and directed two dance theater pieces Off-Broadway at the New Duke of 42nd Street, “In Search of a Goddess—Ruth St. Denis” and “No Apologies: Isadora Duncan”. He has also directed and adapted a number of theater pieces for young audiences including – “Young Charles Dickens”, “Love That Dog” and “The Traveler”. Andrew taught directing at NYU and attended the BMI musical theater workshop. He was also a producer on Lombardi (Circle in the Square). In addition to his artistic work, Andrew has been a long-time champion of the arts as an administrator, running numerous non-profit organizations. Currently, he is the co- founder and Executive Director of fortheARTIST, a non-profit that provides unrestricted support to individual artists of all disciplines. Andrew is certified in Personal and Executive Coaching from NYU and has a 20 something son who is an aspiring musician.
