Amy Shoshana Blumberg is a director, dramaturg, and choreographer based in Brooklyn, NY. She co-founded and co-leads the after-image, which creates audience-engaged works that wrestle with trust and solidarity between strangers, neighbors, and communities. Most recently, the after-image was a SU-CASA Artist through the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (2026 & 2025) and a Spring 2024 Artist in Residence at the Movement Lab at Barnard College. Other credits include: associate direction for Sydnie L. Mosley Dances’ PURPLE: A Ritual in Nine Spells (Lincoln Center premiere) and What Does PURPLE Sound Like (Center for the Performing Arts at Pennsylvania State University), associate direction and dramaturgy for Kyle Gerry’s Following Orlando (the 519, Toronto, Ontario), and dramaturgy for Saxyn Dance Works’ Seolh (Trisk). Amy is a storytelling instructor and story director for The Moth.
