Sharing is Caring Care Café
enjoy Care Cafes on the third Tuesday of the month
We have a lot to CELEBRATE! And be THANKFUL for this month!
And here is a big shout out of BIG THANKS to everyone who worked so hard to get out the vote in this historic election that resulted in the most diverse outcome ever despite every attempt to make America White Again.
November is traditionally a month of thanks and giving. While we might take issue with the origins of this holiday, I think we can all agree that spending time focusing on gratitude and sharing is healthy not only for our communities but for our individual health. It is also a good way to ride this wave into a brighter, healthier future for everyone.
So, this month is Sharing is Caring Care Cafe. It will be held
17 November from 5-7 pm
NEW LOCATION
La Mama’s Galleria, 47 Great Jones, between Bowery and Lafayette.

Come join us and bring your good mood and something to share. It could be something to share that evening like a story, song, or quote, or poem – nothing over 2- or 3-minutes tops please! Or some food or drink to refresh us. Or it could be something nonperishable that we can add to holiday food sharing initiatives in the neighborhood. Or all the above.
Just come in a caring, sharing and CELEBRATING mood!
You can RSVP here or drop in anytime between 5-7 pm
About
A Care Café asks us to turn up as we are, with no specific agenda, expectation, or discussion topic, simply asking the question: How can we maintain an attitude of care in an uncaring world?
Set up like a conventional café with small tables and chairs, the Care Café acts as a temporary venue for community and conversation with some simple table activities set up within a framework of care. Just by entering the room, we acknowledge something of our own needs in the present moment and our desire to give and receive care.
