Avery Vang
bio
I am a Brooklyn-based animator that loves blending physical and digital mediums to create thoughtful, silly films! I graduated from Pratt Institute with a BFA in 2D Animation and while earning my degree, I fell in love with fabrication, time-based media, puppetry, creating films with my sister and filling life with art.
My work aims to uplift creativity, individuality, kindness and expression. I love to utilize my passion for craft and storytelling to spread positivity, promote good chit chat, and educate. I choose themes that are deeply personal to me, and approach tough subject matter with absurd metaphors to lighten dark topics into digestible stories. Most of all, I aspire for my work to bring people together.
