La MaMa Kids: ELEMENTARY

Denisa Musilova & Tami Stronach / Paper Canoe Company
October 3-4, 2026

[Program tbd]

Runtime: Performance runs apporximately 30 minutes, followed by 20 minutes of playtime in the space.

Elementary is an immersive, sensory-rich performance created especially for babies aged 6-36 months and their caregivers

Designed as a gentle first experience of live performance, Elementary invites families into a calm, welcoming environment where movement, sound, texture and play unfold at a pace that honours very young audiences. Through soft choreography, interactive storytelling, an original music score and a tactile set made from child safe natural materials, the work poetically explores the elements of earth, water, wind and fire. Created by mothers and early years artists, the performance offers a rare opportunity for caregivers and children to gather in a shared artistic space—one that celebrates curiosity, imagination, and connection.

Developed with residency support from the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) and supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
