A Walk in a May Meadow Care Café | May 19

May 19, 2026, marks our 17th consecutive Care Café! Over all these months, we have collected food for food pantries, written thank you notes to lawmakers who have our backs, celebrated queer love, joined in with the spoken words of Nuyorican Poets Café, planted seeds of care, painted stars while looking for solstice light, painted our own horse so we could get on it and ride with the resistance and much more!

We are thinking that this month we will take a more restful stroll through the meadows of May and just focus on sitting down, having a chat and enjoying each other’s company before we start gearing up for a summer of hard midterm work. So come join us on Tuesday May 19 between 5 and 7 pm. Hopefully the weather will be good, and we can fling open the patio doors, sit on the porch and enjoy the sweet spring air.

But worry not, we will still have plenty of activities on hand. We will do a spring cleaning and a big recycle by bringing out all our art supplies from the last 17 months including some of the leftover horses and stars to paint and we can continue making our paper chain of care! Plus, there will be lots of plans to make for the coming months.
