Featuring 50 Brooklyn United student performers, the production brings together live music, drumline, dance, spoken word, storytelling, and video projection. Through the voices and talents of young people, the show explores education, confidence, leadership, community, creativity, and the power of believing in what is possible. Audiences will experience the energy and discipline of Brooklyn United while seeing school and youth development through the students’ eyes. More than a performance, BU Live is a celebration of Black excellence, student voices, and the village required to help children dream bigger, discover their purpose, and prepare for the future.

Brooklyn United is a Brooklyn-based youth development and performing arts organization committed to discipline, unity, leadership, and excellence. Through marching band, drumline, dance, theater, academic support, after-school programming, summer camp, and leadership development, Brooklyn United helps young people discover their talents and strengthen their confidence. The organization serves children and teenagers from across Brooklyn and other New York City communities. Brooklyn United uses the arts as a vehicle for teaching responsibility, teamwork, communication, creativity, and character. Its students perform in professional settings while receiving the structure, mentorship, educational support, and community relationships they need to dream bigger, pursue excellence, and prepare for successful futures.
