ABOUT
The Shows: Anchored by Kevin Cunningham’s immersive theater collaboration with Chuck Mee, Not Knowing, The Ellen Stewart Theater will become a large- scale immersive space that will morph throughout the day to present international works in immersive art of all kinds in dance, music, interactive and narrative art. The cast of Not Knowing will also create a latenight show around James Scruggs, performance work KINK. During the day, artist/curators including Victor Morales, Mica Lages, Peter Burr, James Yuxi Cao and Mimi Yin will present new immersive works of their own and invite curated artists to present new work in dialogue with them. This production is also exploring a new more self-sufficient venue model for production of ambitious new experimental work in response to the on-going decline in funding for the arts.
